"Passive" sonar is often used detect noise from marine life such as whales. Unlike "active" sonar, passive sonar does not emit its own signal and its missions concentrate on quietly “listening” to the ocean. When we truly listen to our environment, we can communicate with empathy for a better understanding and an enlightened path toward the future.
